In the past year, I’ve been to St Louis twice for work. I didn’t have time to get out much but I did eat at some pretty noteworthy places that I’ll share.
Roosters Café – This is a popular weekend location and was the best granola parfit I’ve ever had!
For both trips I stayed at the Union Station hotel which is a beautiful space in a renovated train station. The hotel is central, it has an amazing bar and the Station Grille has a small menu but everything on it is very well done.
Maggie O’Briens around the corner from the hotel has a fantastic menu and the best Chicken Pot Pie I’ve had in years. Those with me agreed – except for those that got the Fish & Chips and declared it the best they’ve ever had!
Lombardo’s Italian downtown is a gem. They can accommodate a large group, never seem to be packed, have a friendly staff and wonderful food. Over the course of 9 total nights, we ate there three times (I think some even ate there once without me).
I am sure there are other wonderful places to eat in the city but I will return to all of these again!
