Travelers spend a lot of time comparing stats and giving advice on “what counts.”  How long do you have to be somewhere for it to “count.”  Do you need to leave the airport?  Do you need to spend the night or eat a meal?  Do you need to do more than just tourist sights.  What makes a trip “authentic” and “real.”  My two cents:

It all counts.

In my opinion (and what I’m trying to make Life Kinetic about) is everything counts.

Anything that takes you out of your day to day routine and comfort zone counts.

Anything that exposes you to new people, places, culture, and food counts

A trip in your own town counts if it takes you outside your routine and makes you look at the world a little differently.

It all counts!
