Tinian is a small island in the Commonwealth of Northern Marianas Islands. It has a complicated history of ancient CHamorro culture, Spanish rule, German colony, Japanese colony, WW2 battle and US commonwealth. It is most well known for it’s WW2 history and the staging location for the launch of the two atomic bombs. It is difficult to get to. You first need to get to Guam from either Hawaii, Japan, Korea or the Philippines. From Guam you then travel to Saipan and then travel on to Tinian which is 3 miles away. I had the unique opportunity to visit while in Guam and wanted to share some photos from my trip.
